Mitchell County, Iowa

Mitchell County is a county in North Central Iowa. It was named for John Mitchell, an Irish activist.
The county seat and largest city are both Osage. The Cedar River flows through the county.
The county borders Worth, Cerro Gordo, Floyd and Howard Counties in Iowa; as well as Mower County in Minnesota.
Main Highways include US-218 and IA-9
